Back to business at Round 10

A week off, followed by a test at Portimao and the penultimate triple header of the year, the final stages of the 2020 MotoGP season begin for a determined Repsol Honda team.

With an informative weekend in Barcelona and a short opportunity to rest after another three intense weeks of racing, the Repsol Honda Team is now starting another targeted push for the penultimate triple header of the unique 2020 MotoGP World Championship. After a week in Le Mans, France , followed by two races in Aragon, Spain. The weather on the French circuit could produce some of the toughest conditions of the season. Last year, Marc Marquez drove to victory on the historic French circuit, claiming his 300th victory in the premier class of Honda.

On the 4.2 kilometer Le Mans circuit, Alex Marquez took the first of his five victories on the way to the Moto2 world title in 2019. The goal of the weekend is to capture the form the MotoGP rookie showed at Misano and at the start of the Barcelona weekend to challenge a spot in the second quarter and fight for the top ten of the race. Alex has traditionally ridden well in the wet, but hasn’t had much time with the Repsol Honda RC213V in the rain. Alex will go to Portimao for a single day to familiarize himself with the new circuit on a road bike.

Stefan Bradl is coming to France from a two-day test in Portimao to prepare for the season finale, a demanding schedule for the HRC test driver. Bradl has traditionally achieved consistent results in France and never finished a premier class race outside of the top ten at Le Mans. Like many drivers, Bradl is waiting to see what the weather will bring.

This weekend, the MotoGP race is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. local time, as opposed to the usual 2:00 p.m. local time.
