The Superbike and MotoGP are on the road in Aragon during the two days of testing between today and tomorrow. That’s true! A more unique than rare opportunity to see the two categories together to arouse great curiosity among experts.

But it’s a shame that bad weather got in the way and complicated the day even if it got better in the afternoon. But Johnny Rea and the Kawasaki were able to flex their muscles in Motorland at the end of Wednesday and get everyone into line with a 1’49 ”338.
The cannibal and the new ZX-10RR did it at the end of 65 laps a little more than a tenth ahead of Cal Crutchlow’s M1. Yes, you read that right.

Instead, the British test driver from the Japanese manufacturer couldn’t exceed a 1’49 ”460 and had to be satisfied a second time. In third place, another Kawasaki, Alex Lowes, was only ten thousandths of a second behind Cal’s Yamaha.

And speaking of MotoGP: Dani Pedrosa with his KTM was also on the track with 42 laps, the best with a time of 1’49 ”912, which gave him a fourth place ahead of Garrett Gerloff’s Yamaha R1 with a 1’50 ”557. We have to say that the American rider on the GRT team mainly worked on his pace without looking for a time on the flying lap.

The same goes for Andrea Locatelli, who follows him in sixth place, Nozane with the R1 of the other GRT team, then Ponsson with Alstares Yamaha. You will be back on track tomorrow for the second and final day of testing and will have to keep your fingers crossed as Thursday’s weather forecast in Aragon looks anything but encouraging.

Below is the Motorland test times sent to us as there is no live timing service available.
