Repsol Honda Team ready to tame the Red Bull Ring

With another strong performance at the Czech GP, Marc Marquez and Stefan Bradl travel straight to Austria.

The second series of consecutive races of the 2019 MotoGP World Championship season offers the Repsol Honda team the best opportunity to demonstrate the effective developments of the RC213V. Over the past few years, the Austrian GP has been one of the team’s biggest challenges, but the 2019 RC213V’s increased peak performance kept everyone interested in seeing the difference around the Red Bull Ring.

As one of the newer tracks on the calendar, this is only the fourth edition of the race since the Austrian GP returned to the championship in 2016. In the last three races, Marc Marquez has achieved three top 5 finishes, including two finishing 2017 and second 2018. In 2019 the reigning champion chases his first victory.

Stefan Bradl will join the Repsol Honda team again instead of the recovering Jorge Lorenzo. The German rider is excited about the prospect of another Grand Prix on board the RC213V after improving his feeling on the motorcycle in Brno at the weekend. Bradl is driving in Austria in 2016 and has some experience with the track that he can fall back on. 2018 Austrian GP winner Jorge Lorenzo continues his recovery and plans to return for the next lap at Silverstone.

The action on the track begins with FP1 on Friday, August 9th at 09:55 am between the picturesque hills of the Red Bull Ring. The lights for the 28-lap Austrian Motorcycle Grand Prix will go out on Sunday, August 11th at 2:00 p.m. local time.
