MotoGP, Silverstone is giving away thousands of tickets to NHS and key employees

Silverstone announced today that they will be giving thousands of free tickets to the thousands of key workers who worked so tirelessly during the Covid-19 pandemic. 10,000 tickets will be given away for the three biggest Silverstone events this summer – the Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix, MotoGP and The Classic.

The Silverstone team will work with Blue light tickets, a sister company to the established Blue Light Card rebate program, which was set up to reward workers in the NHS, emergency services, the armed forces and social services. There are currently over 2 million Blue Light Card holders in the UK who can all vote to win a pair of free tickets to one of these major Silverstone events.

The voting slip for tickets for the first event, the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Great Britain, which takes place July 16-18, is now open and will remain open until May 25, 2021 with later closing dates for The Classic and MotoGP. This gives every qualified key worker ample time to join Blue Light Tickets in case they are not already on the program but would like to take part in the Silverstone raffle.

Stuart Pringle commented, “Working with the Blue Light Card gives us the confidence that our tickets will reach those we are all so indebted to and we hope that as many as possible can come to us this summer to watch the live To experience motorsport what we have all missed in the past 12 months. The last year has been a challenge for everyone, but especially for those who work on the front lines and put their lives at risk to protect our country and people in very difficult circumstances. I hope this gesture helps to demonstrate to this community that their work is very much appreciated. “
