MotoGP, Marini: I have to work out in the gym to improve changes in direction

Luca Marini finished the weekend in Doha with an 18th place. From 13th on the grid, tire wear caused the Avintia team driver many problems. But # 10 is happy with the work done in these first two races and the results that have been achieved in terms of knowledge of the bike.

During these two race weekends I learned a lot about the motorcycle,Luca explained after the race. “I feel more comfortable and I figured out which areas I need to work more on in the gym. On the upper part of my body and generally on my arms to improve direction change. As for the race, I’ve learned a lot about the tires. After ten laps they drop off sharply, especially on the right side. I tried to do as much as I could to save her, but the riding was difficult.

Are you happy to go home What are you going to do in this time?
“I am happy that Qatar is over, also because I am very happy to be able to drive on a new track in another country. I am certainly not satisfied with the result. The first thing I will do as soon as I get back to Tavullia is have a pizza because I miss it a lot and then I will work out more to be ready for Portimão. “

Despite today’s result, which was not very satisfactory, is the result of these two races positive?
“We started a long time ago and now we have reached a good level. It will be interesting when the track changes, because for me it will be the first time I’ve been to a track other than Qatar with MotoGP. I will be interesting to see the gap from the leaders and if I am immediately satisfied with it. Now a more complicated phase is beginning, which is why I would have liked better results here in Qatar. Ducati is working very well here and it’s a shame we didn’t achieve everything I could.
