Keith Bauer will go back to the BSB British Superbike this weekend at Oulton Park Track with Buildbase Suzuki after a serious shoulder injury at the season opener at Donington Park.
The two-time British SuperStock 1000 champion fell during qualifying and injured his shoulder ligaments . After being disqualified (and replaced by Gino Rea) at Snetterton and Silverstone, the 33-year-old lost his first three (of six) rounds of 2020. Although surgery was required, Keith Farmer did not give up and he could take a private test at the The Stuart Hicken team’s Suzuki GSX-R 1000 in Donington Park.
“It was really nice to get back on a superbike today. I have to thank the entire Buildbase Suzuki team,” said Keith Farmer. “We had some interesting laps and I felt comfortable straight away, more than I expected. It was probably the adrenaline to be back on the track. ”
Thanks to his outstanding performance on the track, the former TAS BMW driver will join Kyle Ryde and Gino Rea in the Oulton Park circuit scheduled for this weekend. A premium, three-pronged formation never seen before in Buildbase Suzuki, who has just returned from a great weekend with Ryde and a one-two at Silverstone National.
“I know it will be a difficult weekend at Oulton Park with very little time between qualifying and the race. But my goal is to get active again because it seems like a lot of time has passed. I just want to experience the stress-free return and then move forward in the next two events, ”he concluded.
