Maverick Viñales couldn’t wait to get into the Aprilia RS-GP today, even if he was still in the stands in the Misano pits. He arrived in Italy and went straight to the track for the first (static) tests in Noale’s MotoGP. Everything is new to the Top Gun, and today he scaled the Aprilia to find out how to set the driving position to his specifications.
But tomorrow things will get serious with the first of two days of testing on the Romagna track. These will be important tests as their result will influence plans for the future. Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola said the possibility of seeing Maverick racing at Aragon in about ten days cannot be ruled out, but the track will be the deciding factor.
Viñales will definitely enter the RS-GP at the best moment, after the podium that Aleix Espargarò won at Silverstone, and we don’t have to wait that long to see him in action.
