Jack Miller admitted at the end of the second quarter that he had stepped like a poker player, had given it his all – and that earned him a second time in qualifying, on a weekend when he was already having some nervous moments.
“Pecco has done a fantastic job and as we all know he’s a really quick driver,” said the Australian, before talking about his weekend so far:
– I felt good all weekend, always a bit nervous until the end of the last session because of the rain, and then I couldn’t do the best laps with the second tire either, and with the first I had a lot of drivers in a circle and I was a little nervous about it. I felt fine on the second tire, but on the first lap I got two yellow flags and so on the last lap I went all-in and managed to put an entire lap together and stay within the track limits so I’m very happy .
Miller didn’t forget the good result for Ducati in general: “Another fantastic opportunity to qualify for tomorrow’s race at the team’s home GP. 1-2 was amazing ”.
