Johann Zarco started the 2021 championship almost perfectly when he took over the championship lead in Losail with two second places.
He finished the first half of the season just behind Fabio Quartararo and the lack of more points in the second half put him in fifth place in the final standings. For 2022, the Frenchman wants to be among the best all year round:
– At the beginning of 2021, the goal was to consistently be among the top ten and aim for a top 5. I had come a long way, but I got off to such a strong start that I tried to go beyond those goals and aim for the title. So I can only hope to be in the lead and aim for that dream world title. The bike has capacity and so has I, but we have to keep it at 100% all year round. That is the goal for 2022.
