The fall of the great rival, as seen by the ruler of the Sachsenring.
The German MotoGP Grand Prix went to Fabio Quartararo, also facilitated by the retirement of Pecco Bagnaia. But the Yamaha Frenchman revealed that he was not immediately aware of it. “I realized it after a few corners, seeing on the big screen a red bike that had stopped – he revealed -. It happened between Turn 3 and Turn 4, and at that moment I already had a bit of an advantage over him. But I didn’t realize it was gone until I looked at the big screens”.
In any case, for Quartararo, Sachsenring Sunday was not easy. “I am very tired, also because I was sick all weekend – he revealed -. Plus it was very hot, even more than in Indonesia. It seemed like an endurance race, and this victory is worth even more due to the fact that the I got on a track that I have never particularly loved”.
“Even the finish was complex, because Zarco was always a second or so, and the tire dropped more than normal. With the average I didn’t trust myself to push harder, but he dropped before me and went well,” concluded Quartararo.
