On March 28, 2021, the MotoGP tore from the starting field of the Losail International Circuit into the night of Qatar. As the 2020 championship finals winners, perhaps more eyes will be on the four KTM RC16s that will stand in the ranks. The new motorcycles will be in the hands of Brad Binder (South African, 25) from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and Miguel Oliveira (Portuguese, 26) as well as Danilo Petrucci (Italian, 30) and Iker Lecuona (Spanish, 21) from Tech3 KTM Factory Racing being ).
The manufacturer hopes to beat its fourth place in the 2020 constructors’ championship and increase its total of three pole positions, nine podium trophies and three wins in only its fifth season in the MotoGP paddock. The roster of four motorcycles leads the KTM GP Academy – a stream of potential star athletes and machines, who will find their way through the support classes of Moto2 and Moto3 to talent search initiatives such as the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and the Northern Talent Cup stretches.
The 2021 livery for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and the appealing orange-colored design for Tech3 KTM Factory Racing will hopefully give another exciting MotoGP competition an outstanding aesthetic.

Binder at # 33 said: “2020 was generally a season where I think we’ve achieved a lot, some good results, and of course the first win – or KTM’s first win – was the main thing. But there was also a lot of days when we had the potential to do so much more. Sure, the scope is a little smaller now to try to improve, but I think over the course of the season last year, although we did a little more had a break in the middle, it got better and better.
“I felt that I had improved not only because of the results, but also in terms of the weekends and the individual sessions. At the moment I feel that we have a really strong package. We are in a good direction and I’m really looking forward to getting back on my bike this year. “
