The Repsol Honda Team started its final test in 2018 today, ahead of the mandatory winter break. The first day of the two-day session in Jerez de la Frontera (Spain) was blessed with perfect weather conditions. It wasn’t until the morning that the asphalt and air temperatures were a bit chilly, which led the 2018 World Champion, Marc Marquez, and his team-mate Jorge Lorenzo to wait until noon before going out on the track.
Marc stopped an hour and a half before the official end of the session at 5:30 pm and was fifth on the day with a personal best of 1’38.517 ”recorded on lap 28 of 55. Jorge was almost seventh after 56 laps with a best time of 1’38.749 ”.
The test ends tomorrow.
