The all-new Fiat 500 is already in town but, at least for the time being, Abarth continues to roll with the old model and has just announced two new limited editions.
Built in a production run of 2,000 units each, the Abarth 595 Scorpioneoro and Abarth 595 Monster Energy Yamaha have identical underpinnings but distinct styling. Powering both pocket rockets is a 1.4-liter T-Jet turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine rated at 165 PS (163 HP) and 230 Nm (170 lb-ft) of torque.

It comes with a standard five-speed manual transmission while a robotized sequential transmission with shift paddles is optional. With the manual, 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) takes 7.3 seconds. Now let’s see what differentiates the two limited-edition Abarth 595s.
Abarth 595 Monster Energy Yamaha
Showcasing the fun side of the Abarth brand, the 595 Monster Energy Yamaha celebrates the partnership between the two brands that started in 2015. The blue and black livery and interior recall the colors of the YZR-M1 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP racer, while the ‘Monster claw’ on the bonnet is a tribute to the new collaboration with the renowned energy drink. Available in all black on request, the 595 Monster Energy Yamaha also features “tar cold gray” finishes on the door handles, mirror caps, front splitter, and rear diffuser.
On the inside, the MotoGP-inspired Abarth 595 gets special new sports seats with blue finishes and the “Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP” logo on the head restraints, as well as a flat-bottom steering wheel with 12 o’clock stripe. A numbered plate attesting the car’s rarity is placed on the central tunnel. Standard features include the 7-inch HD Uconnect infotainment system with a dedicated splash screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and built-in Abarth Telemetry system.
The car also feature the Record Monza exhaust with active valve, Koni rear suspension with Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) technology, and uprated brakes.
Abarth 595 Scorpioneoro
The Scorpioneoro is all about heritage, drawing inspiration from the exclusive 1979 A112 Abarth “Gold Ring”, better known as the A112 Abarth “Targa Oro”. Just like the classic model, the Abarth 595 Scorpioneoro combines a black livery with decorative gold lining and glossy gold-painted alloys.
Other exterior highlights include the gold scorpion on the bonnet, matte black chessboard roof, as well as “tar cold gray” finish of the door handles, mirror caps, front splitter and rear diffuser. If they don’t fancy black, customers can also have the 595 Scorpioneoro in Podium Blue, Racing White and Record Gray.
Inside, the limited-run Abarth 595 features “Scorpionflage” sports seats with black leather upholstery and back seat in technical material, embroidered Italian flag, “Abarth” and “Scorpioneoro” on the front seat head restraints, Scorpion Black dashboard with matte black details, gold plate on the central tunnel, and personalized floor mats.
As with the 595 Monster Energy Yamaha, the 7-inch HD Uconnect infotainment system is standard, as is the 480-watt, 8-speaker BeatsAudio system. Finally, the car comes complete with a limited-edition Breil chronograph watch which includes an incision of the golden Scorpion logo. Fiat’s performance brand will release more details about the two limited edition on September 18.
