Yamaha extends MotoGP ™ commitment until 2026

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has signed an agreement with Dorna Sports SL to compete in the premier class of Grand Prix motorcycle racing for another five years from 2022 to 2026

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that they have signed a contract with commercial rights holder and serial sponsor Dorna Sports SL to continue their participation in the FIM MotoGP ™ World Championship for an additional five years from 2022-2026.

The news was officially confirmed by Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team Principal and Yamaha Motor Racing General Manager Lin Jarvis during today’s media briefing following the launch of the Mono Energy Yamaha MotoGP team.

Yamaha started its World Grand Prix racing in 1961 and this season celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Japanese manufacturer. During their MotoGP ™ competition, Yamaha achieved a total of 511 Grand Prix victories, 38 Rider World titles, 37 Manufacturer World titles and five Triple Crowns.

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and Yamaha Motor Racing Srl take this moment to jointly thank the CEO of Dorna Sports SL, Carmelo Ezpeleta, as well as the entire management and employees of Dorna MotoGP ™ for their hard work and tireless motivation that contribute to the development of MotoGP ™ pronounced the pinnacle of motorcycle racing.
