The Repsol Honda Team is ready to do it all again

After a positive first race weekend of the year, Pol Espargaro and Stefan Bradl return to the Losail International Circuit in search of more.

It’s a déjà vu case in the Repsol Honda team’s garage as preparations begin for the second round of the 2021 World Championship. Another Grand Prix in the spotlight, the Grand Prix of Doha, will take place on the 5.4-kilometer Losail International Circuit. After five days of testing and a race on the racetrack, it will be a weekend of fine-tuning and the search for maximum performance. Back-to-back events on the same track in 2020 showed how tough the competition can be in race two.

Completing his first Grand Prix on the Honda RC213V has brought Pol Espargaro a wealth of knowledge that he would like to use this weekend to further improve himself. Contact in the early laps disrupted Espargaro’s race, but his overall pace was extremely encouraging for the Repsol Honda team. Forecasts predict very similar conditions for the upcoming race, which gives Espargaro a great opportunity to work on the areas of improvement he found on his first outing.

Stefan Bradl will once again be Espargaro’s teammate while Marc Marquez continues to work on getting back to full fitness and the MotoGP grid. An overall constant weekend brought the German test driver 11th place, who is confident that he will be able to fight for the top ten with a less conservative approach. Bradl’s goal for the weekend, with a particular focus on qualifying, is to keep making it into the top ten and fighting.

After a short break, the MotoGP grid will be back on track on Friday, April 2nd at 3:40 p.m. local time. The race on Sunday starts on Sunday, April 4th at 8:00 p.m. local time.
