Honda UK supplies cars and motorcycles for the Isle of Man TT 2019 • Total Motorcycle

Honda UK returns to the Isle of Man TT as the official motorcycle and car partner of the world famous motorcycle road race. In this way, a combination of CBR1000RR Fireblade SPs and Civic Type Rs will be provided to the race organizers who will oversee the circuit during qualifying and race week starting May 25, 2019. The announcement pays tribute to the rich history of Honda and the Isle of Man TT that goes back sixty years.

For the third time in a row, eight tricolor CBR1000RR Fireblade SPs prepare the traveling marshals for immediate response to incidents on the route. For 2019, the legendary Super Sport flagship will receive a revised electronics package that benefits from the inputs from HRC MotoGP and sharpens the performance on the track. This makes it the perfect foil for the marshals.

An eight-person fleet of painted Honda Civic Type Rs will be available to race organizers for official vehicle duties and will assist race control in maintaining all 37.73 miles. The multi-award-winning hot hatchback, which has set lap records on five major European racetracks, including the Nürburgring, will be welcomed by the race organizers again this year.

Phil Webb, Head of Car at Honda UK, commented: “I am looking forward to the Civic Type R and Fireblade sharing official duties for the second year in a row. These state-of-the-art models demonstrate the breath of Honda, and we’re excited to be backing the TT in such a capacity again. “

The 2019 Isle of Man TT runs from May 25th to June 7th. It airs on ITV4 in the UK and is available on international channels in the US and Australia.
