Marc Marquez is making a great comeback in Portimão

Marc Marquez has confirmed that he will be racing with Repsol Honda again ahead of the Portuguese Grand Prix on April 18th.

Marc Marquez is making his comeback this weekend.

MotoGP top gun Marc Marquez returns to the track after receiving the green light from Hospital Ruber Internacional’s medical team.

After four months of recovery from surgery, the team found that Marquez was in very satisfactory clinical condition. The team is led by doctors Samuel Antuña and Ignacio Roger de Oña and consists of doctors De Miguel, Ibarzabal and García Villanueva. In the current situation, Marquez may return to competition assuming the reasonable risk associated with his sporting activity.

The six-time MotoGP World Champion will be on board his RC213V to improve the Repsol Honda Team’s performance. The team is currently with only 11 points after the rounds in Qatar in sixth and last place in the constructors’ championship. The new Repsol Honda rider Pol Espargaro was the best RCV rider in both Losail races, finishing 8th and 13th respectively.

“It was 9 difficult months with moments of uncertainty and ups and downs, and now I can finally enjoy my passion again! See you next week in Portimao !! “Marquez posted on social media.

Maequez broke his arm at the Spanish GP, the season opener last season. The Spaniard thus missed the remaining 13 races on the 2020 MotoGP calendar.

As a result of the injury, Marquez underwent a third operation in December last year that required him to undergo a recovery process for at least six months.

Although Marquez’s injury is expected to be fully healed by June 2021, his condition is gradually recovering faster and his return has undoubtedly cheered the Honda camp that struggled for a win.
