Alex Marquez is making progress on the Misano test

From the moment he hit the track in the morning it was clear that Alex Marquez and his Repsol Honda team had taken a step forward as the rookie drove all day in the 1’32s.

After just a few days off, it was back on track for Alex Marquez and the Repsol Honda Team to race for a day at the Misano circuit. The MotoGP world champion started almost immediately after the racetrack opened for lunch only and covered a total of 93 laps on board the Honda RC213V.

Working on both his driving style and evaluating several parts and modifications for HRC, Alex set a fastest time of 1’32.480 – an improvement of 0.7 seconds on his best lap of the race weekend. Alex left the test as the eleventh fastest driver overall, 0.948 seconds before the best time. On this productive day, Alex is confident that the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix will have a tougher racing weekend. It will be another hot weekend on the Italian coast.

The promotion begins on Friday, September 18, in the eighth round of the 2020 MotoGP World Championship with free practice 1 at 9:55 a.m. local time.
