The Repsol Honda Team returns to the Misano race

The start of another triple header is just around the corner for the MotoGP World Championship. Alex Marquez and Stefan Bradl are refreshed and ready to go again.

After the Repsol Honda Team had been away from the track two weeks before the track for the summer break of the 2020 MotoGP season, it arrives freshly in Misano for two more races. This is the third of five occasions in 2020 that the MotoGP World Championship has raced the same track twice. The 4.3 kilometer circuit has produced some exciting races, including the 2019 edition where Marc Marquez put on an incredible show on the final lap to win.

Two new races started in Austria helped rookie Alex Marquez to deepen his understanding of the MotoGP class and to concentrate on his speed in the first laps. But Alex is now hoping for a quieter weekend and is determined to get back to the points after failing to score for the first time in the premier class. It’s not the first time Alex has driven an RC213V at Misano after completing a shakedown in 2016. In 2019 Alex reached one of his three career podiums in San Marino on the way to the Moto2 world title.

While Marc Marquez continues to recover from an injury, Stefan Bradl will represent the eight-time world champion again for the upcoming San Marino GP. The German is returning to the Italian circuit after testing there shortly after the two races in Austria. It will be his first racing outing on the circuit since 2018 when Stefan was a wildcard on the Honda RC213V. Bradl tries again to get closer to the dots while working with HRC to continue development of the Honda.
