The Repsol Honda Team is satisfied with the results of the productive Valencia test

Over 250 laps later, the Valencia test ends for the Repsol Honda team, which is preparing to head to Jerez before the winter break officially begins.

The test in Valencia came to an end after two productive days of running after the last race of the year. Despite some cold mornings, the weather stayed dry and sunny on the two days, with improvements on the second.

Reigning champion Marc Marquez covers 131 laps in the two days and leaves Valencia with the information gathered before the 2020 season. With a large number of tested parts and settings, Marc finished the test after the race as the seventh fastest driver thanks to a set of 1’30.556 on the second day.

The second day of testing brought 79 more laps for MotoGP rookie Alex Marquez on board the RC213V. These were most of the laps a driver has driven today. Alex Marquez improves his best lap time by more than half a second from day one to day two and goes hungry to Jerez to make further progress and develop his understanding of the MotoGP machine.

A final pre-winter test in Jerez gives both drivers and engineers the opportunity to collect the latest information in order to further develop the 2020 machine in winter. The Repsol Honda Team will take a short break before returning to the Andalusian circuit on November 25th and 26th with Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez.
