Dovizioso has selected Yamaha for the 2021 season, and it’s not an afterthought after declining an offer from the Iwata-based manufacturer to take on the role of tester. The former Ducati rider actually picked a Yamaha YZ for the 2021 racing season. That will see him at the start of several regional and national motocross events, with the possibility of seeing him at the gate at some international competitions as well.
The M1 is not the Yamaha it will use for a week of training in Sardinia. However, rider Maverick Vinales and former MX champion Romain Fevbre greeted him by responding to the image posted by Dovizioso.
