After completing the Triple Crown 2018 at the season finale in Valencia, the Repsol Honda Team was back on track with its new line-up today at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, with Jorge Lorenzo joining the squad alongside World Champion Marc Marquez.
After five days of almost non-stop rain, the sun finally appeared in Valencia today, but it took all morning to get the asphalt dry enough to be good for testing.
Lorenzo hit the track around 1pm, Marc Marquez a few minutes later, and they kept going until the rain stopped the action again around 3:30 pm.
Marc was up to speed immediately and finished the day as the second fastest with a best time of 1’31.718 ”after 25 laps. Jorge drove 30 laps with a best time of 1’32.959 ”, 18th place overall of the day.
