MotoGP, Suzuki also renews itself with Dorna: in MotoGP until 2026

Dorna Sports is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Suzuki Motor Corporation to extend its participation in the FIM MotoGP World Championship for the period from the 2022 season to the 2026 season. As a result, Suzuki Motor Corporation will use its factory team – actually known as Team Suzuki Ecstar – in the MotoGP ™ World Championship.

Suzuki’s racing history began in 1960 when he entered the Isle of Man’s legendary Tourist Trophy. Last year the brand from Hamamatsu in Japan celebrated its 100th anniversary, along with the milestone of 60 years in racing. The news that Suzuki’s factory tour is continuing is extremely positive, especially after a hugely successful period that led to brilliant results last year. Suzuki’s Spanish pairing of Joan Mir and Alex Rins finished 1st and 3rd in the championship standings, which means that both MotoGP rider and team titles were won with great success.
