The Italian Grand Prix was overshadowed by the heartbreaking news of Jason Dupasquier’s death. The Repsol Honda Team and HRC would like to express their deepest condolences to Jason’s family, friends and team at this difficult time.
Pol Espargaro finished 12th in Mugello and ended an overall difficult weekend for himself and the team. Damage to the aerodynamics of Espargaro’s Honda RC213V in the early stages affected the performance and stability of the motorcycle and its race.
Unfortunately, after a promising start, Marc Marquez was taking a little more than a lap when he fell into turn three on lap three. Marquez walked away unharmed that fall.
The seventh round follows immediately, the paddock will be driving next week from June 3rd to 6th for the GP of Catalonia in Barcelona. The Repsol Honda Team, a home race for Pol Espargaro and Marc Marquez, will continue to do everything in their power to deliver what both riders need to be successful.
