MotoGP, Stoner: “Quartararo with an open suit would have deserved the black flag”

“Whether @ FabioQ20 deliberately removed its zipper or not, I think it should have been a black flag. At this level, you are not allowed to drive 350km with open leather.”

With this tweet, Casey Stoner gave his opinion on the strange case of Fabio Quartararo’s open suit during the final laps of MotoGP.

However, the tearing of the zipper on the Frenchman’s Alpinestar suit seems unlikely, since Fabio has closed it again since then. Rather, he could have opened it because of the discomfort caused by the chest protector.

In the final part of the race, Quartararo hit the green and suffered a 3-second penalty, causing him to lose the bottom step of the podium.
