MotoGP, where there’s smoke, there’s fire: Still problems for Morbidelli’s Yamaha

Morbido’s World Cup didn’t start well. After the problem with the monoshock at the first Grand Prix in Qatar, Franky had to stop during the first free practice in Losail due to a sudden smoke from the exhaust of his M1 and return to the pits to take the T-bike

Apparently it wasn’t an oil leak that caused the smoke. The engine must be examined to see if it is an internal fault or a solvable problem. In the first case this would be a serious inconvenience as the teams only have 7 engines available to run the season and losing one in the early stages would be a major problem as it would force them to make more use of the remaining engines.

This is if it weren’t for the umpteenth batch of unreliable parts, as was the case with valves last year.
