Joan Mir and Jack Miller had some heated encounters this year and today in Assen there was an aggressive move by the Spaniard to overtake the Australian, which earned the reigning world champion praise for his opponent.
The # 36 started by talking about the result of the race, which ended in third place: ‘Today we couldn’t have expected much more honestly, I think our goal was to be on the podium, I knew before the race that it would be complicated so far, but I am very happy.
Then Mir talked about Miller about the action: “I got off to a good start, I started doing some good overtaking maneuvers and it was very clean. Overtaking the Ducati is very complicated and if I maneuver at the limit it’s because I couldn’t do more, so I especially apologize to Jack. I didn’t touch it, but I blocked it and I’m sorry, but it’s always complicated. We have to improve our pace to get better at it, and I’m sorry for that.
And in the end, the Spaniard asked the team for a little more for the second half of the season:
