Maverick Vinales remains the hot topic in MotoGP. For the time being his future remains shrouded in mystery and in a season that theoretically should have been “calm” from the perspective of the driver market. The split between Top Gun and Yamaha has undoubtedly mixed up the plans of many protagonists.
The M1 seat released by Vinales will certainly be a magnet for those drivers who are not entirely satisfied with their current technical situation, but we will probably have to wait a few weeks to understand the future scenarios. Davide Tardozzi also spoke about the matter on the Sky TV microphones, obviously without giving anything away. Maverick was indeed a previous obsession with Gigi Dall’Igna, who tried in every way to get him off Yamaha in 2019, to no avail.
The only free Ducati might be one of those that are meant to be Valentino Rossi’s new team VR46 Aramco, but Tardozzi obviously didn’t want to leave too many doors open, suggesting Aprilia might be the best fit for the Spaniard right now.
