“Joan Mir had good constancy and speed” – Shinichi Sahara

After the first part of the season, it wasn’t easy for Joan Mir to defend the MotoGP title. The man from Team Suzuki Ecstar finished fourth in the championship with just three podium places and 55 points behind leader Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha).

Suzuki project leader Shinichi Sahara told the MotoGP official website that Mir had a good performance but that wasn’t reflected in consistent results. For this reason, he expects a completely different scenario with the next GSX-RR updates:

– Joan Mir had a good consistency and also had speed. He had a few bad luck situations in qualifying. Our position on the starting grid does not reflect our true performance. I hope we can improve with him in this area for the rest of the season. And I also hope that the new articles that will arrive will support Joan’s performance.
