Joan Mir already got his first taste of the Suzuki GSX-RR after making his MotoGP debut in a private test at Motegi after the recent Malaysian Grand Prix.
“We had the opportunity to do a test with Joan Mir,” confirmed team manager David Brivio.
“After Sepang we went to Motegi because we had planned a normal test with Sylvain Guintoli, so [Mir] were there and had the opportunity to do a few laps on our bike.
“We wanted to fix his driving position and be a little better prepared for next Tuesday and Wednesday [at Valencia]. “
On the subject of matching items
But Brivio hardly revealed anything else and just said: “It was good!”
Me – sixth overall with four podiums during his rookie Moto2 season – is the only 2019 rookie to join a factory MotoGP team. The young Spaniard will compete alongside Alex Rins instead of Andrea Iannone.
