MotoGP, Tardozzi convinced Bagnaia and Miller will help limit Ducati’s disadvantages

As always, the glass can be seen as half full or half empty. Ducati actually made it into the top 4 of the championship during the summer break with three riders, but none of them are in the lead. Davide Tardozzi, interviewed by motogp.com, is on the optimistic side of the balance sheet for this first half of the season.

“We’re looking forward to Pecco’s first win, he was close in a few races, but he was also unlucky. Jack, on the other hand, had a difficult start to the season but he was smart and won two races. Our worst races were on two tracks that we owned like Qatar and Mugello, it’s kind of fun, “he took it philosophically.

More importantly, the Desmosedici apparently made peace with the new rear tire introduced by Michelin last year that caused so much trouble.

“Personally, I am very satisfied with the work of the engineers because they understood very well the problems we had with the tires last year – Tardozzi added – in the winter they worked well and gave the drivers something else, I think the problem has been partially resolved. There will also be something new for the last part of the season. We hope for some sunshine to fight for the championship until the last race.

The team manager also recognized the merits of his drivers, because it was not for nothing that four of them stood on the podium this year.

“The riding style of Zarco, Miller, Bagnaia, but also that of Martin helps a lot to limit the disadvantages of the weak points of our bike.” he explained.
