MotoGP, Aprilia signs with Dorna to remain in MotoGP with a factory team until 2026

Of all the manufacturers, only Aprilia Racing was missing and today Noale announced the signing of an agreement with Dorna Sports to participate in the MotoGP World Championship until 2026.

Aprilia Racing will be among the protagonists of the world’s most important motorcycle competition for the next five seasons, reaffirming its mission of technological excellence of research and experimentation within the Piaggio Group.

From 2022 Aprilia Racing will be present as a manufacturer and the RS-GPs will be brought onto the track by the works team after the agreement with Gresini Racing, which Aprilia Racing has been accompanying since 2015, when the championship was terminated. The appreciation and thanks from Aprilia Racing go to the Gresini team and with the greatest greetings and fond memories of Fausto for these years together.

One of the most victorious brands in motorcycle racing history, Aprilia has won an astonishing 54 world titles in its young career, 38 in the GP Motorcycle Racing World Championship, 7 in superbike and 9 in off-road disciplines. With 294 GP victories, it is the European brand that has won the most races in the GP Motorcycle Racing World Championship. Many of the riders who have made motorcycle history over the past few decades made their debut on Noale motorcycles. These world champions include Max Biaggi, Loris Capirossi, Alex Gramigni, Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, Casey Stoner, Manuel Poggiali, Marco Simoncelli and Alvaro Bautista.
