The last week has been pretty exciting with a huge number of two-wheeler starts happening in India. From large bikes to affordable scooters, we’ve seen new additions in most segments. For those who have been too busy checking out these updates, here’s a quick recap to make your Sunday more interesting.
Introduction of the new Hero Maestro Edge 125
Hero MotoCorp heated up the 125cc scooter segment by launching the updated version of the Maestro Edge 125. This model receives a redesigned body and new functions. Similar to the TVS Ntorq 125, the Maestro Edge gets an LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity for navigation and message / call alerts. It is available in drum and disc variants with prices starting at 72,250 rupees.
Introduction of the Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid Fi
Another 125cc scooter that has received significant updates is the Yamaha Fascino 125. Thanks to the new Hybrid Power Assist technology, it makes a little more power and torque than the previous edition. The full LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster with optional Bluetooth connectivity are also new. Prices for the scooter start at Rs 70,000.
Introduction of Hero Glamor Xtec
The third 125cc product to feature Bluetooth technology last week was the Hero Glamor. The so-called Xtec variant offers access to turn-by-turn navigation, an integrated USB charger and an LED headlamp. The new fully digital console also shows more data than the basic equipment. Other changes are subtle cosmetic add-ons and it is slightly more expensive than other models of glamor.
Start of the Yamaha FZ25 MotoGP version
Yamaha gave its quarter-liter roadster, the FZ25, a MotoGP treatment. This limited iteration of the motorcycle receives the Yamaha MotoGP branding on the tank covers, fuel tank and side panels. The Monster Energy stickers are visible on the tank covers and side panels, while the ENEOS logo can also be seen on the fuel tank. At a price of Rs 1.36.800, the MotoGP trim of the FZ25 costs a little more than the standard motorcycle.
Launch of the Ducati Multistrada V4
Ducati unveiled its flagship adventure touring motorcycle, the Multistrada V4, in India. While it gets a similar styling to the Multistrada 1260, the design lines on the V4 are sharper. It’s also equipped with more advanced features and a new liquid-cooled four-cylinder, four-cylinder, 1,158 cc engine that produces 168 hp and 125 Nm of maximum torque. It is available in three variants, with the basic configuration being Rs 18.99 lakh.
