‘Top Gun’ Vinales signs up for the Aprilia dream, but MotoGP is looking for talent …

The last award-winning piece on the chessboard of the driver transfer market has found its place: Maverick Vinales, who feels so much a “Top Gun” that he has his nickname on his license plate, has signed with Aprilia who, if she continues to use Andrea Dovizioso as a test driver, will have a really nice team from a human point of view. The official announcement is expected shortly.

The other teams are all signed, sealed and delivered, except for Petronaswho have to find a replacement for Morbidelli, who will join the Yamaha and Valentino Rossi factory team, and of course the VR46 team, which has not yet given us any certainty about the rider who will become Luca Marini.

Bezzecchi’s name was also mentioned for the Petronas team, but the rumor was interrupted by Valentino himself, who stated that his team will only consist of Academy riders.

In the meantime, KTM has officially announced the (expected) signing of Raul Fernandez today. who is reuniting to become his current teammate Remy gardener. That way both of them Danilo Petrucci and Iker Lecuona are dumped and at the moment we have no offers to stay in the premier class despite two vacancies in MotoGP.

That’s something rather unusual for MotoGP who recently lost more caliber drivers than they won future (?) champions. Andrea Iannone dropped out because of doping, Pedrosa, Crutchlow, Dovizioso, Lorenzo and finally Valentino Rossi were eliminated from the top and Rabat, Abraham and Syahrin among the supporting characters while even Lorenzo Savadori, which was also very promising after his arrival in the CIV MotoGP, remains without a lift.
