MotoGP, Marquez: “I hope the Sachsenring will help me to be more competitive”

At this particular time, Honda must take every opportunity to try to get out of the crisis that has not even made it onto the podium this season. On paper, the Sachsenring is the place to indulge yourself. The RC213V has been unbeaten in the German GP since 2010, a series of successes that began with Pedrosa (3 wins) and was continued with Marquez (7 for him).

The problem is that as we know Marc is not in perfect shape yet, but that doesn’t mean he can’t run well on his favorite track. Or at least that’s the hope.

“After the day of testing in Barcelona, the week between races went very well to recover – said Marquez – We worked a lot in this test and are now coming to the Sachsenring, where I always enjoyed driving in the past. This year we arrive in a different position, of course, but hopefully the layout should allow us to be more physically competitive. Let’s see what the weekend brings. ”

Pol Espargarò also needs to put together a good weekend, because his move to Honda has so far lacked satisfaction …

“We arrive here in Germany after a good day of testing in Spain. It’s been a tough couple of races so it’s important that we focus and do our best this weekend. The Honda has been strong here in the past and with what we found in the test, I hope we can take some steps forward. Everything in MotoGP is so tight that even a small improvement will help a lot, especially on Saturdays. We now have two races before the summer break, we want to have a positive break. ”
