The Frenchman secured pole position for the Czech Grand Prix in Brno, which he then converted into a podium. He succeeded in doing this despite taking a long lap penalty in this race.

Ducati Zarco and Francesco Bagnaia are believed to be looking for a spot on their factory team for 2021, the latter being confirmed this morning. He will face Jack Miller again next year.

Martin’s switch to the Ducati setup has been expected for a few weeks now. He won the Moto3 title in 2018 and so far has one Moto2 win in his name. Martin was a title contender this season before missing two rounds after a positive Covid-19 test.

“We are happy to have reached the agreement with Johann and Jorge,” said Paolo Campinoti, team owner of Pramac Racing. “We want to continue an important project that gives us great pleasure. The athletic qualities and the winning mentality of the two drivers are well known: the expectations are therefore high. We know Johann well and have a very positive feeling about him: the same will be with Jorge. “

Esponsorama Racing has not yet announced who will take Zarco’s place next season, but Moto2 title contenders Luca Marini and Enea Bastianini have both been linked to the team in recent weeks.
