Next stop at Silverstone for the Repsol Honda Team

Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro head north to the historic Silverstone circuit as the MotoGP World Championship prepares for Round 12.

This weekend marks the return of the British Grand Prix, the championship that was forced to skip the lap due to the 2020 pandemic. At 5.9 kilometers, Silverstone is the longest route on the current calendar and offers a fast and flowing layout that MotoGP World Championship riders have to overcome. As in Austria, the weather is sure to be a topic of conversation throughout the weekend.

Marc Marquez’s record around Silverstone is respectable in the premier class with one win and two additional podiums from four placements. In 2019 MotoGP fans experienced an exciting fight between the # 93 and Alex Rins that went all the way. The eight-time world champion comes with the same attitude as Austria; Take advantage of all the opportunities that arise and continue to work on the development of the Honda RC213V. In Austria, Marquez proved that he and the Repsol Honda Team’s machine have the potential to fight for victory in both wet and dry conditions.

On the other side of the Repsol Honda team garage, Pol Espargaro arrives in the UK to find further improvements on his Honda RC213V after two difficult races in Austria. Espargaro has collected points in all premier-class editions of the British Grand Prix, which he finished with the best result in sixth place. In 2012, Espargaro took his first pole position in the Moto2 class on the track.

Top-notch action returns to Silverstone on Friday, August 27 at 9:55 am local time. The race starts on August 29th at 1:00 p.m. local time after the summer break back to the usual racing rhythm.
