Brad Jones was transferred to King’s College Hospital in London yesterday afternoon after falling on Clarke Corner during the opening stages of the first British Superbike race at Brands Hatch and is now in a medically induced coma with head, pelvic and chest injuries. In his debut season in the top tier of the overseas championship, the runner-up in the British SS600 in 2019 and 2020 will remain under observation for the next 24/48 hours. In anticipation of the remaining two races of the weekend, the entire BSB paddock wishes the young 23-year-old and his family all the best and hopes for good news from the London hospital.

“Brad Jones (iForce Lloyd & Jones BMW) crashed yesterday (Saturday, July 24th) on the first lap of the first British Superbike race at Brands Hatch. The race was immediately interrupted with the red flag, while the medical staff on the track immediately assisted the driver. He was passed out at the scene and was taken to the county medical center for further treatment. He was later taken to King’s College Hospital in London by helicopter.
After severe head, chest and pelvic injuries, he remains in an artificial coma for 24 to 48 hours. He receives the necessary care and MSVR is in direct contact with the family who would like to thank everyone for the support they are receiving, as well as the BSB Medical Team and Racesafe Marshal who supported Brad.
