Pramac Ducati will use an unchanged rider line-up for the 2022 MotoGP World Championship after securing the signatures of Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin for another season.

The French-Spanish pairing represented an entirely new line-up for the Italian team, Ducati Corse’s official satellite, in 2021, with Zarco stepping up from Avintia while Martin made his debut after leaving Moto2.

Although the longtime Pramac Racing team is still on the hunt for its first MotoGP victory, with four podiums in six races so far, it is enjoying the strongest start in a MotoGP campaign to date.

Of these, Zarco was responsible for three of these podium results, while his greater consistency also makes him the best Ducati representative – second, 24 points behind Fabio Quartararo – in the overall standings.

Martin, meanwhile, retains his seat despite having only started two Grand Prix for Pramac Ducati before an accident in free practice for Portuguese MotoGP excluded him from the next four laps. Nonetheless, he made an impression in these two races and achieved a pole position and a podium place in only his second Grand Prix in Qatar.

“We are very satisfied to be able to continue this” project “with Johann and Jorge, two guys with whom we get along very well and with whom we achieve excellent results,” said Pramac boss Franesco Guidotti. Both Ducati and we firmly believe in their capabilities; we couldn’t be happier.

“This year Johann and Jorge have integrated themselves very well into the Pramac Racing team,” added Paolo Ciabatt from Ducait.

“We will also provide both of them with the official bikes for the coming season. We are sure that they will bring us many satisfactions.
