“Honda enables riders to customize their bikes” – Lucio Cecchinello

After Lucio Cecchinello had spoken about the direction of development of the Honda RC213V in recent years, Lucio Cecchinello now explained that riders have a certain range of options to change the motorcycle according to their ideas.

The LCR team leader spoke to Speedweek about this possibility: “Honda engineers are now allowing our MotoGP riders to customize their bikes to suit their needs. This adjustment is very important. That’s why you sometimes see different aerodynamics with the four drivers on the same weekend. These are from 2021, but they are Step One or Step Two ‘.

The changes don’t stop there, though: “Some riders occasionally use the rear spoiler known as a ‘spoon’ while others don’t. There are different chassis preferences, including those from last year. Honda allows this to be adapted the driver.
