Five things to take with you from MotoGP Aragon 2021

1. Bagnaia versus Marquez

Pecco’s first win in MotoGP was clearly not the easiest as he had to duel with Marquez on the track from the start. The duo had managed to break away from the rest of the field at the start of the race. But due to the tire choice between hard front and soft rear, both riders had to carefully manage their tires so they could see them until the end of the race. With three remaining laps, Marquez, who was tenth behind Bagnaia throughout the race, started doing something against the Ducati rider. Attempts after attempts were made by the Honda driver but could not complete the overtaking maneuver on Pecco. Marquez tried seven overtaking attempts in the last three laps and still finished second behind Pecco. That certainly made Bagnaia’s first win a lot sweeter.
