MotoAmerica, Toni Elias replaces Mistress in Pittsburgh

Toni Elias will meet Jake Gagne of Fresh N ‘Lean Attack Performance Yamaha Racing for Round 7 of the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex (PIRC) this weekend. The Spaniard will drive Herrin instead of Josh, who is focused on getting back to full fitness after a positive Covid-19 test. In addition to his Moto2 and MotoAmerica Superbike titles in 2010 and 2017, Elias has won several US championships.

“We are very happy that Toni is standing in for Josh, who is still feeling the effects of Covid-19.” and will not be able to race at PIRC – said Richard Stanboli – Fresh N ‘Lean Attack Performance Yamaha Racing Team Manager – He is a Moto2 and MotoAmerica Superbike champion as well as a MotoGP winner. It will be very interesting to see a rider of his caliber on our superbike and to comment on his performance. We look forward to having him on the team this weekend. ”

“I have to say a big thank you to Yamaha and Richard for the opportunity to ride Josh Herrin’s bike this weekend,” Elias replied – I’m looking forward to working with Richard and the team and riding this R1 that he built. I grew up with Yamahas so it will come like home. I’ll try to have fun and work hard to get a good result. “
