The Italian team will advance to the premier class for the first time as one of three satellite Ducati teams from the Moto2 World Championship.

Although Rossi has been linked to the competition by his own nickname, he has decided to let the team – born out of the VR46 Racing Academy to develop young Italian talent – focus on its main goals by placing the seats at two of his leading minds handed over.

Although there was no confirmation regarding the riders, it was always assumed that Rossi’s brother Marini would ride one of the bikes, while the highly rated Bezzecchi has taken multiple victories for VR46 in Moto2 over the past two seasons.
