TECH3 Yamaha rider Johann Zarco set the pace in a wet first practice session at the Czech MotoGP Grand Prix in Brno.
Zarco took the lead just a minute before the end. His time of 2: 05,201 minutes was 0.120 seconds faster than the earlier benchmark from Ducati man Jorge Lorenzo.
Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa traded leads in the latter stages of the session, but the duo only finished third and fourth when Marc Marquez finished second after the checkered flag fell.

Marquez and Pedrosa both used subtly different variants of a new Honda aero fairing, which has a similar design to Yamaha with internal winglets.
The factory Yamahas of Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales were five and six, five and six tenths behind the pace, respectively.
Danilo Petrucci finished seventh ahead of Hector Barbera, who led the middle part of the session for 13 minutes.
Aleix Espargaro and Zarco’s Tech 3 teammate Jonas Folger completed the top 10.
Last year’s Brno winner, Cal Crutchlow, was 12th, followed by Ducati’s title contender Andrea Dovizioso.
While there were no falls in the session, Andrea Iannone had an excursion into the gravel bed in the tight right-hand bend in Turn 10, but was able to get back on with the help of marshals.
