The Repsol Honda Team takes the lead in the eSport Championship while Adriaan_26 shines

The first and second places lift Adriaan_26 and the Repsol Honda Team to the top of the eSport standings, one lap behind.

In the penultimate round of the MotoGP eSport Championship 2021, three important title challenges intensified and challenged each other for victory in races at both the Phillip Island Circuit and the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Adriaan_26 showed his skills and experience in both races aboard the Repsol Honda Team powered by OMEN to prepare for the title defense as the end of the eSport season draws nearer.

From third place on the grid in Australia, Adriaan_26 got the RC213V off the line well to defend its position in the first corners. As the laps went by, it was clear that Adrian’s only competitor in the race would be AndrewZH as the two separated from the rest of the field. It all came to the finish line as the Honda man took on AndrewZH and the Ducati, won virtual Honda power and Adrian secured the win in just 0.001 seconds – a classic Phillip Island finish!

In Misano, Adriaan_26 brought his Repsol Honda Team machine to pole position, Trastevere73 and AndrewZH directly behind him. A strong opening lap resulted in the pole setter taking second place when Trastevere73 tried to break away. For the next ten laps, Adrian held the Yamaha rider honest and did everything possible to close the gap. Crossing the finish line second, 0.668 seconds behind, the result brings a solid score.

With a win and a second place in his pocket, Adriann_26 moves to the top of the MotoGP eSport championship with only one lap left of the 2021 season. Maintaining his highest consistency will be Adrian’s main objective in the last two races as he works to defend his esports crown.

The last round of the championship is scheduled to take place on November 12th on the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, parallel to the last round of the MotoGP World Championship.
