Pol Espargaró moved from number one in the KTM to second place in the Repsol Honda garage, behind Marc Marquez. The Granollers rider admits that it’s up to Honda to follow the fastest rider in terms of development and that is undoubtedly Marc Marquez.
“Well, the fastest is Marc Márquez, so the factory has to follow his words. It’s easy and the most obvious thing to do is follow what the fastest says. The factory cannot follow what the slowest person says because that would be a big problem. It is natural to follow what Marc says as he is the fastest. I think it’s smart to do that, ”said the Catalan during the competition weekend in Misano.
It is worth remembering that, despite having two races less than Espargaró, Márquez is 28 points more ahead of his teammate in the World Championship. Espargaró is 14th in the World Cup table with 64 points, while Márquez is ninth with 92 points.
