MotoGP, Dixon has no illusions about MotoGP debut: “Difficult but I’ll enjoy it”

For Jake Dixon, it will certainly not be a weekend to forget. He gets on a MotoGP bike for the first time on Friday and will do so at his home Grand Prix at Silverstone. The Petronas team has chosen the Briton to step onto Morbidelli’s M1 (who is still recovering from knee surgery) and it will be a unique but also very complicated opportunity for him.

Dixon will have to learn to deal with the Yamaha very quickly, on a track that is also very technical and fast. It’s something that makes anyone’s legs tremble, but Jake knows he’ll have an ally: the British public will be on his side.

“This weekend it will be difficult to jump on the big bike for the first time at my home GP, but I’m really looking forward to it – he couldn’t hide his opposing feelings – Racing at home is always exciting, but this year is going to be very special. The home support there is always great, I love the track and I think it will be a great experience. “

However, this does not mean that it will be a walk in the park …

“Having a lot there and knowing the track will really help me this weekend, although of course I’m not looking for a specific result. I just go out and enjoy it! “ is Dixon’s declared goal.
