MotoGP, Michelin: The new asphalt makes the work of the tires in Assen easier

Have a good start to the weekend in Assen. The track was completely repaved a year ago, so the grip is very good and that makes everything easier from a tire point of view.

Dry in the morning at a track temperature of 28 ° C.
Dry at the beginning of the afternoon session but after about 15 minutes it started to rain. The track temperature has dropped from 30 to 25 ° C.

In general, the tires (front and rear) work well with good grip and feel. The tires look good after use, with no excessive wear and normal temperatures.

Front:
Soft: good grip and feel. Worked very well in the morning for everyone and in the afternoon for drivers who don’t put pressure on their tires.
Medium: More support, but less grip than soft.
Rain: Very good grip and good feedback, albeit a bit soft on the right side due to braking forces.

Back:
Soft: very good grip. More than means and no waste was reported.
Medium: Good tire with good stability and grip. Good warm-up and good looks when worn.
Hard: Very good stability, but 2 laps of warm-up necessary. Then it worked well, but under today’s conditions with less potential than Med or Soft.
Rain: Very good initial grip without any noticeable loss of potential.

MotoE:

FP1 was conducted with worn tires from the previous E-Pole. Good warm-up from the front and back, with good support. The grip was close to that of new tires and the feedback was predictable and progressive.

FP2 with new tires was very good. Great feeling and grip from the front. Rear grip was good, with very little drop-off and progressive handling.
