Ducati announces new Scrambler models

Ducati Scrambler Tribute PRO and Urban Motard models announced

Ducati will present new models in six online presentations over the next few months. The first gave us the new Multistrada V2, which replaced the Multistrada 950. The second focused on the Scrambler sub-brand and added two new models, bringing the number of Scrambler models to 10.

Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute PRO

Inspired by the first Ducati V-Twin in 1971

The Scrambler Tribute PRO pays homage to Ducati’s first V-twin motorcycle, launched in 1971. At that time it had a displacement of 750 cc and now it is built around the 1100 (actually 1079 cc) air-cooled engine that develops 86 hp.

Yellow color by Giallo Ocra with the logo designed by Giugiaro, certainly the best Ducati logo ever.

The Scrambler 1100 PRO takes off its hat to this first bike by sporting the yellow “Giallo Ocra” color and the iconic Ducati logo and font designed by Giugiaro, possibly the best of all Ducati logos. The seat is dark brown, the lattice frame is black and the wheels have wire spokes.

As with the other three models in the PRO series, the Tribute has the usual bells and whistles including riding modes and Ducati Traction Control as well as the individual round headlights with LED inserts.

The inspiration

The Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard is aimed at a younger target group. Ducati describes the styling as “contemporary refreshment” with elements of the Ducati Hypermotard.

The red and white paint scheme is a nod to the original Marlboro-sponsored Ducati MotoGP racing bikes, while it inherits the side-mounted license plate, flat seat, and front beaked fender from other Scrambler models. Powered by the 73hp 803cc version of the V-Twin, the Urban Motard claims to have some off-road capabilities while being light and agile in the urban jungle.

The 1100cc model has two front discs, while the 800cc model has a single front disc.

With both models with the Ducati Multimedia System, you can pair your smartphone with the bike via the clocks and there is a USB socket under the seat.

Off-road potential?

Ducati claims off-rod potential, but not with these wheels and tires

No word on the prices yet, but they should be in the showrooms by early 2022.

The next episode in the series will air on October 28th and will be titled Rule All Mountains. If we’re reading this correctly, it’s probably the Multistrada Enduro Adventure Bike. We just have to wait for the confirmation.
