MotoGP, F1 format Aprilia with the pitot tube

Massimo Rivola brings all of his Formula 1 experience to MotoGP and the Aprilia garage. In addition to the management aspects, Rivola also seems to have advised the engineers of the Noale manufacturer and these days during the tests in Qatar we can see pitot tubes – sensors that are now a tradition in Formula 1, as you can see from this one Motorsport.com posted photo of Giorgio Piola – at the RS-GP.

Pitot tubes are used in all aircraft and in racing (typically Formula 1, for tests before the season) as sensors to determine the air speed of the vehicle and in wind tunnels to measure the air flow. Here’s a detail of how Aprilia used the sensor in today’s Qatar tests.
